Garbiñe Salaberría (Bizkaia), reside en Bilbao. Es Doctora en Sociología y titulada en Gestión de Empresas y Organizaciones Culturales.
Ha participado en el diseño y la gestión de Talleres de Escritura Creativa, Fomento de la Lectura, dinamización de recursos culturales y otros programas vinculados al libro, a la escritura y a la lectura para Bibliotecas y entidades culturales.
Como autora ha publicado varias novelas para adultos y público juvenil: “Los días se hacen solos” (2024) Ed. Íbera; “Sietelenguas el dragón y la pequeña Eider” (1991), Ed. Mensajero; “Zazpimintxo herensugea eta Eider ederra” (2000), Ed. Gero; “Mugaz haraindiko itxasoak” (2001), Ed. Gero; “Holaxe gauzak dira!” (2001), Ed. Desclée de Brouwer; “Mario eta txori zuriak” (2005), Ed. Gero.
En su obra de ensayo, “La construcción narrativa de la ética. Valores y contextos sociales en la literatura infantil y juvenil” (2014), Ed. Siglo XXI, ha investigado el entramado de la ética en la narrativa, las formas, los contextos y otros indicadores que adopta en los textos literarios.
A lo largo de su trayectoria profesional ha recibido varios premios: Premio en el Concurso de relatos “Cuentos Incombustibles”, Ayuntamiento de Bilbao; Premio NACIONAL FUNDACIÓN GSD DE INNOVACIÓN EDUCATIVA (primer premio); Premio VII CERTAMEN BUENAS PRÁCTICAS, UNICEF; Premio al proyecto empresarial “Servicios Culturales. Diseño y gestión”, DEMA, Diputación Foral de Bizkaia ; Premio Mejor Iniciativa Empresarial Lan Ekintza, Ayuntamiento de Bilbao.
Su última novela, “Los días se hacen solos”, recorre esos días en los que la vida se desordena de golpe y obligan a una búsqueda de sentido para recuperar la esperanza de felicidad.
En la actualidad, se dedica a escribir, a la literatura y a la difusión de su obra. Acaba de recibir el Premio Europa Multicultural a la Excelencia Literaria y Pensamiento Social 2026.

She lives in Bilbao. She has a PhD in Sociology and a degree in Business Management and Cultural Organisations.
She has participated in the design and management of Creative Writing Workshops, Reading Promotion, revitalisation of cultural resources and other programmes related to books, writing and reading for libraries and cultural entities.

Throughout his professional career, he has received several awards: Prize in the «Cuentos Incombustibles» short story competition, Bilbao City Council; NATIONAL GSD FOUNDATION FOR EDUCATIONAL INNOVATION Award (first prize); VII GOOD PRACTICES COMPETITION Award, UNICEF; Award for the business project «Cultural Services. Design and Management», DEMA, Provincial Council of Bizkaia; Lan Ekintza Best Business Initiative Award, Bilbao City Council.
His latest novel, Los días se hacen solos (The Days Make Themselves), explores those days when life suddenly falls apart, forcing us to search for meaning in order to regain hope for happiness.
He currently devotes his time to writing, literature and promoting his work. She has just received the 2026 Multicultural Europe Award for Literary Excellence and Social Thought.
